Manchester Centre Library and the Lance Cousins Collection
Progress is being made housing the new library at the Manchester Centre for Buddhist Meditation, with part of the Lance Cousins now collection available on the shelves adding some breadth and richness to the library content. A professional library cataloguing system has been installed and over the next few months all of the library resources will all be catalogued.
There is now the early stages a Samatha Trust Library website, with fuller details about the plans for the library available in the Publications area of the Samatha website. We invite you to have a good look around the website and to convey any thoughts or suggestions to the librarian. The URL for the library website is www.samatha-trust-library.org and an e-mail address for the librarian is manchester-librarian@samatha.org.
If you wish your name to be placed on a Samatha Trust Library mailing list, please complete the ‘Expression of Interest’ request on the website.
There is also a link on the library website through which to make donations. The website is a part of the means to contact a wider group of people across the world who may have known Lance and who would be interested to see the library project flourish. Please share the details of the website, and the opportunity to make donations to developing the library, with others you know, including those outside the immediate circle of Samatha friends.
The development plan for the library can be downloaded by following the link to the right of this page.
