Introduction to Buddhist Meditation and Mindfulness
There will be an 8 week course for beginners, will be on Wednesday evenings starting on 24th April 2019. This course will be suitable for anyone who is new to Samatha (calm) meditation, and will provide practical instruction and some theory.
The class will be held in the upstairs room at the Fielden Centre, Ewood Road, Todmorden OL14 7DD.
The class will start promptly at 7pm and will finish at 8pm.
We ask participants to make a donation to cover the cost of hiring the room £3.00 per session

This class introduces you to a traditional form of Buddhist meditation called "Samatha”. Samatha is a technique of breathing mindfulness, leading to greater calm and happiness, and more clarity and awareness in daily life.Buddhist teachings are used to help explain the meditation practice, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to benefit.
All are welcome, whether you are new to, or have previous experience of meditation.
There is no charge for the teaching, but we do ask everyone to make a contribution of £3.00 to £4.00 each towards the cost of running the class, including room hire.
